We were created for community. As a woman who has thrived for years surrounded by her “tribe” it was deeply challenging to sit through a recent season of isolation. You will not always be surrounded by people you thought would be by your side. Sometimes you’re moved into new places and new circles. It’s uncomfortable, it feels different, your sense of identity and who you are and where you stand gets tossed upside down.
While our stubborn independence often tells us that we don’t need anyone, we can handle life ourselves and we don’t want to be a burden to others, the truth is that God created us to live lives in community with others. We were not created to operate alone. We were not created to carry the heavy burdens of this world by ourselves. While our relationship with God sustains us, community with those around you is also incredibly important to a joy filled life.
No matter how independent and strong you are, women seek connection with one another and for good reason! While we might find that group of women at church, or through parenting, online or connected to a brand we align with, I believe that more often than not we are only skimming the surface of true relationship based community.
We do not need a product or a brand to unite us. I truly believe that we can find community and unity outside of brand boundaries. I believe we can create these same experiences and feelings in a group of women whether we sell the same product or not.
Do you have a circle of 3-5 women you can be honest and vulnerable with?
Do you have women you connect with on a regular basis?
Does your circle of community encourage, uplift and speak the truth to you about yourself, your relationships, your parenting and your business?
Do you feel like you are surrounded by a community of like minded women you can trust enough to be transparent with about your struggles?
If you answered No to any of the above questions, I want to personally invite you to join The Comeback Queen Community. We are a group of women who believe in transparency, encouragement and accountability. This free community is a drama free zone and a place where we aim to have tough conversations, provoke new thoughts and connect in a safe place.
